What Memory Saver is designed to do is give you about 30 extra megabytes of RAM (or memory) that you would not normally have. I would only use Memory Saver during the use of editing huge files or graphic work or other such RAM intensive computer proccesses. What Memory Saver does is it makes the Finder quit.
The Finder is basically Mac OS that is running in the background while the computer is running allowing you to move files and other such things. Don't worry it probably sounds worse then it really is. When you launch a application it is communicating with the proccesor so that means that for some activities you don't need the Finder.
The Finder takes up about 30 megabytes of RAM while it is running. Now if you started up Photoshop and quit the Finder you would have a extra 30 megs of space for graphic work.
Now I wouldn't recommend quitting the Finder for every little thing, just quit the Finder for RAM intensive work.
With Memory Saver you can also activate the Finder after you have quit it so you can get back to your normal computer work.
I think the buttons within my application are self explaining, so once you use it you should be able to figure everthing out.
Warning: Yes, the Finder can freeze up while you are quitting and a activating it with my application. It has only happen too me once or twice but it can happen. Please do not come screaming at me if you computer freezes while using my application.
